Fatal Car Accident on 5 Freeway
56-year-old Michael Gonzalez died on Tuesday, November 23rd in a Santa Clarita traffic accident.
The collision occurred on the northbound 5 Freeway at 6 p.m., per CHP.
A semi truck and an SUV were the two vehicles involved that collided under unclear circumstances.
Gonzalez, who was traveling in the SUV, was rushed to a local hospital where he unfortunately died due to his injuries.
There were no other injuries reported from the collision.

It is most often those in passenger cars that are killed in large truck collisions. Semi trucks typically weigh 20-30 times as much as passenger cars which leaves occupants of smaller cars more vulnerable.
