DUI Crash on SR-55 Freeway near Edinger Avenue
A rear-end collision resulted in a rollover in Santa Ana on Sunday morning.
The accident occurred on March 27th around 2:30 a.m. on the SR-55 Freeway.
A 2009 Toyota Camry reportedly rear-ended a 2007 Toyota Camry as it was changing lanes.
Upon impact, both cars overturned and the driver became trapped inside of the 2009 Camry.
Paramedics transported the person to a hospital and they were later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
In addition, two occupants of the other car sustained minor injuries; however, they did not seek medical treatment.
A large pole also fell down an embankment as a result of the collision.

Rollovers account for only 3% of all serious collisions; however, 30% of them result in a fatality.
According to the NHTSA, almost 80% of rollovers involve one car. Additionally, roughly 250,000 vehicles that are involved in a rollover are left undriveable.
