Big Rig & SUV Crash Result in Death of Man
Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fatal collision that occurred in San Dimas Monday morning.
It was just before 3 a.m. when an SUV and big rig collided within the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway.
CHP reported that one person died as a result. He has been identified as Cesar Robelto Duarte, 37.
Authorities also issued a SigAlert at 3:13 a.m. due to the closure of the No. 2,3,4 and 5 lanes.
Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

It is most often those in passenger cars that are killed in large truck collisions. Semi trucks typically weigh 20-30 times as much as passenger cars which leaves occupants of smaller cars more vulnerable.
