Multi-Vehicle Crash at Sea World Drive

Major injuries were sustained in a three-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning in San Diego. 

According to CHP, the crash took place around 7:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the Interstate 5 Freeway. 

The collision happened at Sea World Drive between a motorcycle, Nissan sedan and an unidentified 3rd vehicle. 

Due to the impact the rider was down in the No. 2 lane once paramedics arrived. 

The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. 

Authorities also shut down the No. 1, 2 & 3 lanes following the accident for cleanup and investigation. 

Motorcycle accidents, according to the NHTSA, accounted for 14% of motor vehicle accident deaths in 2019. Motorcyclists should be fully aware of the safety challenges in which they face while riding on roads in California. Below are some tips for motorcyclists:
