Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 8 near Fairmont Avenue 

A motorcyclist and pickup truck collided Wednesday afternoon in San Diego within the eastbound lanes of the I-8 Freeway. 

The incident took place at 4:17 p.m. on February 16th, according to CHP. 

It is unclear at this time what led to the collision between the motorcycle and Toyota pickup. 

Upon impact, the rider ended up down in the center divider and the bike in the Nos. 1 & 2 lanes of the freeway. 

Paramedics provided aid at the scene to the motorcyclist. It is unknown whether or not they were hospitalized. 

The crash remains under investigation to determine fault.
