Mission Gorge Road Accident Results in Death
The man who was killed in a three-vehicle collision in San Diego on Friday has been ID’d as Errol Hunt, 82.
Reports included that the wreck occurred at 4:05 p.m. on July 8th on Mission Gorge Road.
Hunt was driving westbound in a Toyota SUV before making a left-hand turn in front of a Tesla and BMW.
The Tesla & BMW were reportedly speeding and the BMW hit the passenger side of the SUV.
As a result, the SUV then collided with the front-end of the Tesla, causing both vehicles to overturn.
Hunt was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with severe injuries. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at 4:50 p.m.
In addition, the driver of the BMW, a 34-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and the Tesla operator did not report any injuries.
An active investigation remains underway.
