James Coe Killed in Rollover Crash

James Coe, 63, was the victim of a fatal rollover traffic accident on Monday afternoon in the area of Ocotillo.

The crash took place at about 3:06 p.m. on the Interstate 8 Freeway at Ko-Pah Park Road on August 30th.

Coe, an Arizona man, was heading eastbound when the vehicle overturned for reasons unknown. The report also did not mention whether or not Coe was the driver or passenger.

Someone called 911 for help following the rollover crash that led to a fire. Bystanders were able to rescue James from the vehicle prior to emergency personnel arriving.

Once paramedics responded to the scene, Coe was rushed to UCSD Medical Center in San Diego. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital at about 4:09 p.m. in the ER.

Statistics show that rollover accidents account for about one-third of all fatalities in the U.S. In  addition, 30% of vehicle fatalities are rollover crashes. These types of accidents are far more likely to result in a fatality than non-rollover crashes.

JT Legal Group sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of James Coe.
