Rolando Alvarenga-Aguilar Arrested in Food Truck Crash

Sabas Ruiz Galviz, 60, has died after the parking lot accident involving a taco truck on October 9th. 

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. in the area of Maple and Belmont Avenues.

According to the CHP, Rolando Alvarenga-Aguilar crashed into a taco truck after losing control of his van. 

Following that collision, 45-year-old Aguilar then slammed into a group of patrons within the parking lot. 

Galviz was hospitalized in critical condition that night and sadly died on Monday, October 18th. 

Additionally, it was concluded that Aguilar was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and also fled the scene. 

He was later taken into custody and now faces charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
