Coroner Identified Passenger Killed in Traffic Accident

37-year-old Roger Valdez was the passenger who died Monday morning in a traffic collision.

The accident occurred at 12:04 a.m. on the Interstate 80 Freeway at Pinole Valley Road.

According to CHP, the collision was the result of heavy fog on November 15th.

A Hyuandi Genesis was reportedly driving too fast for weather conditions when they rear-ended a Saturn sedan.

Valdez Jr. was in the back of the seat on the right side in the Saturn when the crash took place.

Due to the impact, two people became trapped inside of the vehicle and two people also sustained minor injuries.

A witness also reported someone running from the scene, however the fog made it hard to identify the person.
