43-Year-Old Dies in 80 Freeway Accident

Roberto Marmolejo, 43, has been identified by the Solano County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau as the man who died in a traffic collision on Monday morning.

The accident occurred on January 10th in Vacaville at 5 a.m. within the westbound lanes of the I-80 Freeway.

Per authorities, Marmolejo was traveling in a Toyota Sienna before veering to the left and crashing into the back of a Freightliner trailer.

The crash resulted in the Toyota rolling over multiple times, as well as ejecting both the driver and his passenger.

Both occupants were rushed to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, where Marmolejo sadly died.

The passenger sustained major injuries but is expected to be OK.

In addition, there were no injuries reported from the driver of the Freightliner.
