Motorcyclist Airlifted Following Accident on 66th Avenue 

A motorcycle and vehicle collided on Monday night in Riverside, resulting in major injuries. 

Per CHP, the accident took place at 11:23 p.m. on 66th Avenue on May 30th.

It is unclear at this time what caused the collision. 

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries as a result and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

Similar to motorcyclists, bicyclists are just as vulnerable on the roads. According to the NHTSA, 30% of bicycle accident injuries occur when hit by a vehicle.
