Fatal Collision on Ramona Expressway 

Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fatal traffic collision that occurred in the Lakeview area Monday morning. 

Reports included that the accident took place at 6:30 a.m. in Riverside County on Ramona Expressway. 

It is unclear at this time what caused two vehicles to collide near First Street on April 4th.

Sadly, one person died as a result. Another person suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded. 

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
