Woman and 8-Year-Old Girl Dies in Multi-Vehicle Crash

Multiple vehicles crashed in Rialto on Monday evening, killing a woman and 8-year-old girl.

The wreck took place on Valley Boulevard and Riverside Avenue on August 1st around 6:30 p.m.

It was reported that a Jeep was speeding before sideswiping a Chevrolet Silverado. It then rear-ended a Kia Sorento which caused a chain-reaction crash with four other vehicles.

Due to the impact, two of the involved vehicles became engulfed in flames.

Ashley Gilroy, 33, and Marlee Maldonado, 8, were trapped inside of one of the vehicles and sadly died at the scene.

Two others also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized for treatment.

Additionally, the driver of the Jeep, Paul Larios, of San Bernardino, also died as a result.
