44-Year-Old Man Killed in 8 Freeway Accident

Two people were killed in an El Cajon accident on Saturday morning, February 12th.

The fatal accident took place on the I-8 Freeway at 6:18 a.m.

Razhae Tranell Shepard was one of two that died as a result.

A black sedan and white pickup truck collided under unclear circumstances, causing the sedan to overturn.

Both Shepard and Claudia Hefley, 51, were declared dead at the scene. 

It is unclear what condition the other involved driver was in following the accident. 

An active investigation is underway.
