Woman Hit & Killed on 10 Freeway 

CHP reported a fatal pedestrian crash in West Covina early Tuesday morning, July 12th.

Rachel Vargas, 40, was walking within the eastbound lanes wearing dark clothing when a vehicle struck her.

The incident took place at 12:41 a.m. on the 10 Freeway near Holt Avenue. 

Unfortunately, Vargas was declared dead at the scene. 

Authorities are actively investigating the accident.
