Highway 156 Crash Leaves One Seriously Hurt 

Two vehicles collided in Prunedale on Sunday afternoon, leaving one with major injuries.

It was at 1:09 p.m. when an SUV and Ford pickup truck collided on westbound Highway 156. 

Due to the impact, the truck overturned onto its side. 

As a result, one person suffered severe injuries and was hospitalized for treatment. 

There were also several people who tried to roll the truck over to help the person inside before paramedics arrived. 

Investigators are actively working to determine liability. 

Statistics show that rollover accidents account for about one-third of all fatalities in the U.S. In  addition, 30% of vehicle fatalities are rollover crashes. These types of accidents are far more likely to result in a fatality than non-rollover crashes. 

In the U.S. one’s odds of dying in a car accident is around 1 in 107.
