After the removal of the previous assigned judge, on February 4, the Court assigned the Porter Ranch litigation case to the Honorable Carolyn B. Kuhl. There is a status conference is set for February 25 with Judge Kuhl, where the judge will go over the pending litigation matters with the attorneys that represent Plaintiffs and Defendants. Please remember not to comment on the judge or the litigation in any public setting and avoid discussions with anyone aside from your family, doctors and lawyers.
For those of you with business claims, on March 6, 2019 in San Francisco, the California Supreme Court will hear the appeal to determine whether the business owners in Porter Ranch have standing to recover their damages.
For those of you who are firefighter’s or have firefighter friends in the lawsuit, twenty-two (22) additional firefighters have joined the lawsuit against Southern California Gas Company (SCG), bringing the total number of firefighters suing the gas company to fifty-one (51). As we continue our investigation, it is important for you to monitor your health. Your recovery for personal injuries will be based largely upon proof of your regular medical care and baseline medical tests. Routine complete blood count (CBC) testing is a good way to monitor for health changes.
