Multi-Vehicle Collision Left 7 People With Injuries On October 12th

The pileup occurred in the Central Alameda neighborhood of downtown LA around 4:50 a.m.

According to CHP, four vehicles collided in the 1800 block of East Washington Boulevard.

Investigators are working to determine liability as it is unclear what led to the collision.

In addition, paramedics were needed to extricate people from vehicles when they arrived at the scene of the crash.

The seven people who sustained injuries were transported to local hospitals for treatment, per reports.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
