Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Lombard and Steiner Streets
Investigators are working to determine the cause of a deadly pedestrian crash that took place in San Francisco Thursday morning.
It was around 5:20 a.m. when the incident occurred near Lombard and Steiner Streets.
An unidentified male was hit by a vehicle in the Marina District, causing severe injuries.
Sadly, the man was declared dead at the scene. His name has yet to be released at this time.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities.

There was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.

- Avoid distractions (use of headphones, cell phone)
- Obey traffic laws & signals
- Always use crosswalk
