Vehicle Hits & Kills Pedestrian in Lancaster, CA
Investigators are working to determine the cause of a deadly pedestrian accident that occurred in Lancaster on Sunday.
It was at 11:49 p.m. when the incident occurred on September 11th.
A vehicle struck the pedestrian at the intersection of Avenue H-8 and 10th Street West for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
It is also unclear if the involved driver stayed at the scene or not.
Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
There was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
