Elderly Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Forest Avenue
86-year-old Martha Davis, of Chico, was hit and killed by a vehicle in Chico on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred June 28th on Forest Avenue just minutes after 10 a.m.
Davis was crossing Forest when a car struck her under unclear circumstances.
Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where she sadly died.
The 32-year-old male driver along with his two passengers stayed at the scene and were fully cooperative with authorities.
A stretch of Forest Avenue was also shut down for a period of time following the crash.
An active investigation remains underway.
