Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway
One person was killed in a pedestrian accident Tuesday morning in Santa Monica.
The incident occurred within the eastbound lanes of the I-10 Freeway on June 21st.
It was just after 3:30 a.m. when a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian was attempting to cross the freeway on foot and was declared dead at the scene.
It is also suspected that other vehicles may have hit the pedestrian’s body following the first crash.
Additionally, the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
All lanes of the freeway were shut down for an hour following the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation.
