Pedestrian Crash at Spencer Avenue and Oro Dam Boulevard East 

A vehicle struck an unidentified pedestrian in Oroville on Thursday morning, January 27th. 

The incident occurred at the intersection of Spencer Avenue and Oro Dam Boulevard East around 6:30 a.m. 

It is unclear at this time what caused the driver to hit the pedestrian. 

The victim was transported to the Enloe Medical Center for treatment and their current condition is unknown. 

Additionally, the involved driver stopped at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities. 

The crash remains under investigation. 

According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.

In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
