66-Year-Old Long Beach Man Dies in Westwood Crash 

A hit-and-run pedestrian accident claimed the life of Scott Laughlin, 66, in Westwood on Monday night. 

News reports included that the crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on April 11th on the 405 Freeway. 

A vehicle struck Laughlin on the shoulder near Santa Monica Boulevard for unknown reasons. 

Sadly, despite life-saving efforts, the man died at the scene. 

The involved driver was traveling in a Toyota sedan and fled the scene following the incident.

Investigators are actively working to locate the suspect and piece together all the details of the crash.
