62-Year-Old Man Suffers Injuries Following Highway 46 Collision

Multiple vehicles collided in Paso Robles on Saturday, resulting in several people being injured.

The crash occurred on February 12th on Highway 46 and River Grove Drive.

As a result, 62-year-old Mauro Jimenez, of Paso Robles, sustained minor injuries.

Per reports, 49-year-old Maria Garcia De Arteaga was traveling southbound in a Honda CRV when she collided with a westbound Toyota Corolla.

Jimenez was traveling westbound in a Chevrolet Uplander when he collided with the Toyota.

Both Jimenez and his unidentified passenger were transported to Twin Cities Community Hospital.

In addition, two occupants of the Corolla suffered major injuries and were taken to Sierra Vista Hospital.

The driver of the Honda, Arteaga, along with three of her passengers also suffered moderate to major injuries.

It is unclear at this time what caused the collision. An active investigation is underway.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
