Driver Left Dead in Otay Mesa

A Wednesday morning traffic collision left one person dead on October 20th in San Diego.

The deadly crash took place at around 8:16 a.m. at the intersection of Otay Mesa Road and Harvest Road. 

While it is unclear as to what led to the crash, authorities located a big rig hauling two trailers and a white sedan at the scene. 

One of the unidentified drivers was pronounced dead at the scene sadly. 

Investigators are actively working to gather more answers regarding the fatal crash.

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019. 

In the U.S. one’s odds of dying in a car accident is around 1 in 107.
