2 Killed in Head-On Crash on W. Main Street
Two drivers were killed in a head-on collision in Turlock Monday morning, February 28th.
The crash took place just before 5:45 a.m. on W. Main Street, near Carpenter Road.
Oscar Armando Garcia, 45, was traveling east in a Honda sedan at the time of the accident.
According to CHP, a Subarbu SUV was driving west when the driver tried to pass vehicles. As a result, the SUV collided head-on with Garcia’s vehicle.
Upon impact, the SUV overturned and became engulfed in flames.
The driver of the SUV, ID’d as Abraham Farias, 36, of Turlock, died at the scene.
Additionally, Garcia lost his life as well.
An active investigation is underway.
