Motorcyclist Killed in Orangevale Crash at Greenback Lane and Hazel Avenue

A crash killed a motorcycle rider at Greenback Lane and Hazel Avenue in Orangevale.

The California Highway Patrol said the tragic accident took place late Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck on November 9 at about 10:50 p.m.

The incident happened when the motorcyclist and a silver Ford Edge collided in Orangevale. The two crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of Greenback Lane and Hazel Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the rider down on the ground. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Greenback and Hazel to shut down for a time after the incident.

The cause of the fatal Orangevale crash is still under investigation.
