Deadly Traffic Accident on 60 Freeway 

An early Monday morning traffic collision claimed the life of one unidentified person in Chino, California. 

The accident was reported just before 2:30 a.m. on the 60 Freeway near Mountain Avenue. 

According to CHP, two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes under unclear circumstances. 

The identity has not been made public pending notification of kin. 

Authorities also shut down the westbound side of the freeway for a period of time following the accident. 

The crash remains under investigation. 

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
