Deadly Crash on State Route 94 Freeway 

On Wednesday morning, December 15th, the driver of an SUV crashed under unclear circumstances in San Diego. 

It is unclear at this time what led to the crash or if other vehicles were involved. 

The collision occurred on the State Route 94 Freeway at 25th Street around 6:30 a.m.

Police responded to the scene within the eastbound lanes and located the driver face down and unresponsive. 

Despite life-saving efforts, the driver unfortunately died at the scene.

California Highway Patrol are actively investigating the cause of the crash.

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
