Deadly 405 Freeway Crash

Two passenger cars along with a big rig were among the vehicles that collided on early Monday morning.

The multi-vehicle collision led to the death of one unidentified man.

Per CHP, the crash took place on December 13th just before 3 a.m. on the Jefferson Boulevard on-ramp.

At this time it is unknown what caused the collision between the three.

Sadly, due to the impact, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, police issued a SigAlert at 4:12 a.m. which closed down the on-ramp for a period of time.

An active investigation is underway.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
