One Killed in Wasco Traffic Collision

Deadly Car Accident at Merced and Magnolia Avenues 

One person died as the result of a two-vehicle collision in Wasco Wednesday afternoon.

According to CHP, the accident took place just after 12:00 p.m. on March 30th. 

It is unclear at this time what led to a Ford Mustang and Dodge pickup colliding at the intersection of Merced and Magnolia Avenue. 

Unfortunately, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. 

It is also unclear if any others sustained injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation to determine liability.

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019. 

In the U.S. one’s odds of dying in a car accident is around 1 in 107.
