One Killed in Santa Rosa Multi-Vehicle Crash

Three Vehicle Collision Leaves One Dead on Highway 12

California Highway Patrol reported a deadly three-vehicle collision in Santa Rosa Wednesday morning.

The crash took place on August 10th just minutes after 8 a.m.

A total of 3 vehicles collided under unclear circumstances on Highway 12. The cars involved were a Safeway delivery box truck, Nissan sedan, and Nissan pickup truck.

Due to the impact, the box truck overturned onto its side, the sedan onto its roof, and the pickup truck acquired major rear-end damage.

Sadly, one person was killed as a result. It is unclear if others were injured.

All eastbound lanes of the highway were shut down for a period of time following the crash.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may be entitled to wrongful death benefits.
