Highway 183 Collision Results in Death 

CHP are actively investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Salinas on Friday morning, June 3rd. 

It was at about 4:29 a.m. when a truck and another vehicle collided on State Route 183.

Due to the impact, the truck overturned in a nearby field. 

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. 

Additionally, one person suffered major injuries, including a fractured hip, and another sadly died.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of kin. 

Tow trucks were also sent to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
