Deadly Traffic Accident in Modesto, California 

Two vehicles collided in Modesto on Tuesday evening, resulting in the death of one person. 

According to CHP, the accident took place just before 8 p.m. on Highway 132.

It is unclear at this time what caused the vehicles to crash on June 14th. 

Upon impact, one of the vehicles was sent off the roadway into a canal and became fully submerged in water. 

Sadly, one unidentified person died.

It is also unclear if any others were injured in the crash.

Investigators are actively working to determine liability. 

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019. 

In the U.S. one’s odds of dying in a car accident is around 1 in 107.
