Fatal Car Crash on Highway 198 at 2nd Avenue 

A two vehicle collision left one dead and two others injured in Visalia on Monday evening. 

It was around 6:45 p.m. when a southbound Honda made a turn in front of an eastbound Mercedes.

The crash occurred on February 21st on Highway 198 at 2nd Avenue. 

Upon impact, the Honda passenger sadly died. 

Two other occupants of the honda were taken to Kaweah Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

Additionally, the female driver of the Mercedes was treated for minor injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation.

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
