One Dead in Crash With Downed Tree

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department has remarked that one person died after a crash with a downed tree in San Marcos.

This fatal crash occurred near the intersection of N. Twin Oaks Valley and E. La Cienega roads on a rainy Thursday morning at about 5:30 a.m.

The person was declared dead at the scene. It is still not evident whether the car crashed into the downed tree or if the tree landed on the vehicle.

Officials have yet to confirm whether or not speed, alcohol, or rain were factors in the crash.
