Oceanside Crash on 5 Freeway near Encinitas Boulevard

At least one person was injured in a suspected DUI crash on Tuesday evening in Oceanside.

The accident was reported at around 5:54 p.m. on the 5 Freeway near Encinitas Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, but the CHP did not immediately establish how the accident happened.

One person suffered minor injuries in the evening crash, as per the report.

Officials suspect that DUI was a factor in the accident.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
