Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 24

A total of four vehicles collided in Oakland on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries.

According to CHP, the collision occurred just after 1 p.m. on May 3rd on Highway 24.

It is unclear at this time what led a Honda Accord, Jaguar, Dodge Ram, and fourth vehicle to collide.

The impact caused the Jaguar to fall 50 feet down an embankment.

An unknown number of people also suffered minor injuries.

There was also a chain-link fence that was destroyed as a result of the accident.

Investigators are actively working to determine liability.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
