Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway

A 27-year-old woman died after being hit by a truck on Thursday morning in Malibu.

The crash took place on December 9th at 6:30 a.m. on Pacific Coast Highway. 

According to reports, the driver struck Nicole Valdes-Cortez in the westbound lanes which resulted in her death. 

As a result of the crash authorities shut down a portion of the highway for a period of time. 

Students at Malibu Middle School and Malibu Highschool also had a late start due to the accident. 

An active investigation is underway.
