Multi-Vehicle Collision Results in Injuries 

Five vehicles were involved in a traffic accident on Saturday afternoon, July 30th, in Newhall, CA.

Reports included that the collision took place around 3:30 p.m. on Wiley Canyon Road and Lyons Avenue. 

Two four-door sedans, a Hyundai SUV, two-door Mitsubishi, and Toyota pickup truck were involved in the crash. 

Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the accident. 

Firefighters had to extricate one woman from the Hyundai and another from the silver sedan. Both were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. 

Additionally, those same vehicles acquired major damage while the others were left with minimal damage. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded. 

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
