Two Dead Following Accident on Highway 33
A head-on collision claimed the life of two people in Fresno County on May 2nd.
The accident occurred at 2:43 p.m. that Monday on Highway 33.
A Dodge Caravan and Dodge Ram pickup truck were among the vehicles involved.
Natalie Shepherd and Matthew Culver were driving before crashing into southbound traffic.
One of the vehicles became engulfed in flames as a result of the wreck.
CHP shut down the southbound lanes for several hours pending investigation and cleanup.
Investigators are actively working to determine liability.

Head-on collisions are without a doubt the most dangerous types of crashes. They may only account for 2% of accidents, however they make up 10% of all deadly crashes.
