Ventura Freeway Accident Results in Hospitalization of Woman

Four vehicles were involved in an accident in Encino on Thursday morning, April 21st.

According to CHP, the crash occurred at 4:23 a.m. within the southbound lanes of the Ventura (101) Freeway.

A Lexus RX350, minivan, and sedan were among the vehicles involved. It is unclear, however, what led to the accident.

The Lexus sustained front-end damage and was blocking the middle lanes as a result.

In addition, the sedan sustained major rear-end damage and the minivan major front-end damage.

One of the passengers, an unidentified woman, suffered injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
