Minor Injuries Sustained in Hayward Car Accident on 880 Freeway

Minor injuries were sustained in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred Friday morning in Hayward, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The pileup happened at about 5:42 p.m. on southbound 880 Freeway, just south of the W A Street off-ramp.

Three vehicles, including a Chevrolet pickup truck and a gray Acura, were involved in the accident.

Hayward firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.

An unknown number of parties suffered minor injuries and complained of pain.

The Acura was towed away with major front-end and rear-end damage.

CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision
