Multi-Vehicle Collision in Sherman Oaks

Three vehicles collided in Sherman Oaks on Friday morning, October 15th on the 405 Freeway.

CHP reported that the crash took place around 6:18 a.m. near Burbank Boulevard.

The involved vehicles were a Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Sedan which collided under unknown circumstances.

Due to the crash all vehicles were blocking the slow lanes following the collision.

In addition, the Honda Accord sustained major damage and the Toyota Corolla also had damage to its front end.

Tow trucks arrived at the scene to remove both the Corolla and Accord which were damaged.

While it is unclear how many people sustained injuries, at least one person was treat when paramedics arrived.

Investigators are actively working to determine liability.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
