Highway 180 Collision Results in Major Injuries 

CHP reported a motorcycle accident in Fresno on Tuesday morning, May 17th. 

A Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle collided with a Ford pickup truck at 5:43 a.m. on Highway 180. 

The circumstances leading up to the crash, however, remain unknown at this time. 

The motorcyclist sustained major injuries as a result and was hospitalized for treatment. 

In addition, a tow truck was needed to remove the bike from the roadway. 

An active investigation is underway.

According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death. 

Motorcycle accidents, according to the NHTSA, accounted for 14% of motor vehicle accident deaths in 2019. Motorcyclists should be fully aware of the safety challenges in which they face while riding on roads in California. Below are some tips for motorcyclists:
