Fatal Motorcycle Accident Kills Rider 

A car and motorcycle collided on Wednesday morning resulting in the death of the rider. 

The deadly incident occurred just after 6:30 a.m. on Highway 118 according to CHP. 

Per reports, a Harley-Davidson and an unidentified car collided in front of the plant nursery for reasons unknown. 

CPR was administered to the rider by paramedics, but sadly, despite life-saving-efforts, they died at the scene. 

An identity will be released once notification of kin. 

The highway was also shut down for a period of time as investigators worked at the scene. 

According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death. 

Motorcycle accidents, according to the NHTSA, accounted for 14% of motor vehicle accident deaths in 2019. Motorcyclists should be fully aware of the safety challenges in which they face while riding on roads in California. Below are some tips for motorcyclists:
