2 Teens Killed, in Coolidge Car Crash on State Route 87
Two teens died, and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Monday afternoon near Coolidge, as per a local news source.
The incident took place at around 4 p.m. near State Route 87 and Baptist Church Road.
The crash involved two trucks and a car driven by a woman with two teenage passengers.
According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, for unknown reasons, the woman allowed her vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic and collided with a moving truck. A second truck traveling behind the moving truck was also involved in the accident.
The two teenagers died in the collision.
The female driver was hospitalized with unspecified injuries. The occupants of the trucks sustained minor injuries.
Deputies did not immediately establish the cause of the crash and if impairment was a contributing factor.
