Deadly Crash on I-5 Freeway
Six vehicles, including a motorcycle, were involved in a fatal collision Thursday morning in Orange County.
The accident took place just before 8 a.m. on February 10th within the southbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway.
Two semi-trucks, an SUV, Dodge Ram 3500, and motorcycle were among the vehicles involved.
Upon impact, the motorcyclist reportedly flew in the air and ended up on the right shoulder.
Sadly, the rider died at the scene.
Tow trucks were also needed to remove several vehicles from the scene of the crash.
An active investigation is underway to determine fault.
According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death.
