Road 603 Collision Leaves Motorcyclist Dead

Stacey Teixeria, 50, was arrested after driving intoxicated and causing a fatal collision on Wednesday night.

Teixeria was traveling eastbound on Road 603 in a Lexus when she began making a 3-point turn into the westbound lane.

She then backed up into the eastbound lanes, causing a motorcyclist to crash into the back of her vehicle.

Upon impact, the rider was ejected onto the roadway and sadly died at the scene.

The rider has only been ID’d as a 58-year-old man.

It was also discovered that the woman was alcohol-impaired at the time of the accident.

According to NHTSA, more than a quarter (25%) of accident-related deaths are linked to the use of alcohol. With that being said, according to the CDC, there are 30 people that are killed everyday in a car accident as a result of an alcohol-impaired driver. That is equivalent to one death every 50 minutes.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may be entitled to wrongful death benefits.
